Valley of Flowers Trek
Duration: 6 Days / 5 Nights | Best Time: July β September | Difficulty: Moderate
Starting Point: Rishikesh/Haridwar
Day 1: Rishikesh/Haridwar to Joshimath (2,050m) | 260 km Drive (10-11 hours)
- Start early from Haridwar/Rishikesh, passing through Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Karnaprayag.
- Enjoy breathtaking views of the Ganga, Alaknanda, and Mandakini rivers.
- Arrive in Joshimath by evening, check-in at a guesthouse, and acclimatize.

Day 2: Joshimath β Govindghat β Ghangaria (9 km Trek)
- Drive to Govindghat (1 hour), then begin a 9 km trek following the Pushpawati River.
- Pass through dense forests, waterfalls, and picturesque villages.
- Reach Ghangaria, the base for Valley of Flowers & Hemkund Sahib.
- π Overnight Stay: Guesthouse in Ghangaria
Day 3: Ghangaria β Valley of Flowers β Return (10 km Trek)
- Early morning trek to Valley of Flowers National Park.
- Explore vibrant meadows with flowers like blue poppies, orchids, and marigolds.
- Spot rare wildlife like the Himalayan Monal and Musk Deer.
- Return to Ghangaria.
- π Overnight Stay: Guesthouse in Ghangaria
Day 4: Ghangaria β Hemkund Sahib β Return (12 km Trek)
- Early morning trek to Hemkund Sahib (4,329m), a sacred Sikh pilgrimage.
- Visit the Gurudwara and the beautiful glacial lake.
- See rare Brahma Kamal flowers and enjoy spiritual serenity.
- Descend back to Ghangaria.

Day 5: Ghangaria β Govindghat β Joshimath
- Morning trek back to Govindghat (9 km).
- Drive to Joshimath and explore Narsingh Temple / Auli (optional).
- π Overnight Stay: Hotel in Joshimath
Day 6: Joshimath β Rishikesh/Haridwar
- Depart early morning for Haridwar/Rishikesh.
- Enjoy scenic landscapes along the route.
- Reach by evening, concluding the trek.
